Disclosure – Huffington Post

I’m collaborating with Diego Kusnir, a clinical psychologist, researcher, and writer who happens to be partially blind. I’m creating visuals for his Huffington Post column on gender, race, disability, and marginalization.

Here is the first story with my illustrations.

Would You Shut Up!?

This first illustration touches on the idea that we have these hidden identities that push at our conscious when we meet someone new. They exist within us, but are not disclosed initially.disclosure1

This one goes off the idea of Diego not wanting to disclose his blindness but fearing some event or action will out it (the forced disclosure would feel like part of your identity you’re not ready to be shared, being announced by the megaphone).
